In a place such as the Algarve, so heavily dependent on tourism, images of our environment have a special significance.

We need an endless supply of such pictures, either as lead images ("Come to the Algarve") or in support of product-specific promotions ("Buy this house: it's in a beautiful place"). As the Algarve changes, so we need to refresh our stock.

Unfortunately for the professional photographer, the tendency is to use and re-use the same tired, old images, again and again. I've even seen large, otherwise reputable companies using images scanned from guide books or lifted from other websites: outright theft of copyrighted work.

As a business that is directly or indirectly selling "the Algarve", the smart move is to build your own, exclusive library of fresh, original images.
